Legacy Society
SDHDF

SDHDF has established a new donor society called the Legacy Society. It is composed of supporters who believe in our mission and leave a portion of their estates to strengthen the economic security of the LGBT community for years to come. The Society recognizes LGBT donors and their friends who pledge to benefit the "common good" by naming SDHDF as a beneficiary of their estates and other planned giving options. These options include Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts, Life Income or Life Insurance Plans, gifts by bequest, estate provisions, gifts of real estate and others.

We urge you to consider your unique financial situation and the benefits of planned giving: income tax savings, avoiding capital gains on appreciated property, reduction of estate and probate costs, and increasing current income. Our Executive Director can provide information on these and other "wealth replacement" approaches to estate planning and planning giving.
