Upcoming San Diego Human Dignity Foundation Events

Our Community. Our Future. Our LGBT Community Foundation.
Tony Freeman

Dear Friends:  As we welcome in the New Year, I would like to welcome you to our new quarterly e-newsletter. Over the years, I have found that I’m less inclined to make resolutions. They often have a shorter shelf life than the milk in my refrigerator. However, I have found that when there are things I am truly passionate about, resolution or not, I’ll get them done. I’m passionate about bringing positive social change to the LGBT community of San Diego and look forward to a New Year filled with promise and progress.
Our new e-newsletter is designed to share with you information relating to our common mission of creating positive social change for San Diego’s LGBT community.  I hope you enjoy the articles and find them relevant and informative. Together we can make this New Year one in which we will all look back and say: “Amazing!” What that means is we have made strides towards our goal of creating positive social change and can look forward to another year of promise and progress.
Thank you for your support and for being a “partner” in creating social change for the LGBT community of San Diego.

With gratitude,
Tony Freeman
Executive Director

Honorary Board meets at the University Club.

We are pleased to announce the members of the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation’s 2008 honorary board. The honorary board held its annual meeting on November 13, 2007 to review and discuss strategies to meet SDHDF’s 2008 goals. It is comprised of past board members, major donors, large fund holders, and dedicated volunteers. The membership roster is listed in the table.
Honorary board members play an important role in SDHDF’s work to promote responsible philanthropy, community leadership, and philanthropic networking. They work with the foundation’s board of directors and staff on key strategic issues and to serve as ambassadors for SDHDF within the San Diego community. In addition to the annual honorary board meeting, the group will participate in informal forums and in ad hoc projects.
In 2008, the honorary board will be helpful in expanding philanthropic education and advocacy as well as communicating our vital role as the LGBT community foundation in San Diego. We are proud and grateful to have their continued support.
