The primary purpose of this Fund is to provide funds for :

  • The provision of comprehensive, compassionate support services for people with HIV/AIDS  and their family  and loved ones
  • Advocacy of civil rights and dignity for people with HIV/AIDS
  • Development of accurate community understanding of HIV/AIDS
  • The prevention of transmission of HIV through complete, culturally sensitive education in SD border region
  • Research regarding HIV/AIDS

BCause Fund

The purpose of the Breast Cancer Alliance United to Support & Education (BCause) Fund is to make annual monetary grants organizations in San Diego County that offer programs and services related to breast cancer.

To increase awareness and early detection of breast cancer among lesbians, as well as to increase support programs for lesbians coping with a breast cancer diagnosis.

Anderson-Pecus Athletic Fund

Promotes LGBT athletic programs, sports teams, sporting events, as well as charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes.

Beck-Huskey Charitable Trust

Financially supports and promotes activities that encourage and enhance civil rights, community development and leadership in the LGBT community and other charitable causes which directly or indirectly benefit the southern California LGBT community, as well as promote  charitable, scientific, literary or educational activities or organizations.

Blachford-Cooper Endowment

Supports qualified LGBT organizations in San Diego County and the US, and to support qualified arts, sciences, health and educational organizations (regardless if they are LGBT).

Addresses the needs of the LGBT higher education communities, particularly involving sexual identity processes encountered by higher education students. (age 18 or beyond normal high school years).

Promotes, encourages, enhances, assists and supports the activities of the Birds and Mammals Department of the San Diego Natural History Museum as well as any other charitable, scientific, literary or educational activities or organizations.

Flick Fund

This Fund is to be used for an award to be given annually at the discretion of the President to the individual or organization that displayed great courage and ethics in the community. The award need not be given to a gay man or lesbian. The award shall be made in the name of Richard P. Geyser first President of the SDHDF.
